March 2014 News from Judson

So this isn’t exactly what camp looks like right now, but we can dream that winter is gone, right?

We’re  a few days late in getting this out, but the February 2014 Judson Journal is now available.

In it, you can read about:

– The contracting of the consulting firm, Fletemeyer and Lee, to work with us in the development of a master plan for our facilities and their development.  (Many thanks to Harry Breski for volunteering his skills as a surveyor to compile the detailed topographical map needed by the consultant.  This donation of time and skills will literally save us several thousand dollars!)

– Be sure to register for Summer Camp 2014 by April 1 to receive a free Summer Camp 2014 T-Shirt when you arrive for your camp session!

– Our need for volunteers to help us get ready for summer.   Our annual Spring Workday is Saturday, May 3, but we are also hosting organized volunteer workdays on the first Wednesday of each month, including March 5, April 2, and May 7 and we would love to have you and/or a group from your church come and help us get ready for summer.   We’ll provide you with lunch and a bed to sleep in if you need it!

If you can’t attend any of those, we’re happy to host you or a group to volunteer on a day of your choosing.  Help is needed to cut/split firewood, perform carpentry, plumbing, and electrical tasks, wash windows, clean fans, sweep and clean buildings, and much more!

– Rally Day has been schedule for Saturday, June 7.  More details will be coming, but please note the date as we are moving it one week earlier this year.
