Hello! My name is Emily Corbin and I am the new Director of Outreach and Mission Development for Camp Judson. I grew up in North East, Pennsylvania as a Fighting Grape Picker! My love for Judson started at the age of eight as a mini camper attending Camp Judson. My love continued growing as I volunteered at Judson throughout high school and spent eight summers on staff. I have served as a counselor, camper/volunteer coordinator, and as the summer marketing assistant.
I studied graphic design and received my art teaching certification at Edinboro University. About a year after college, I packed up and headed for Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I worked for a non-profit doing communications, marketing and event management for Pittsburgh Leadership Foundation. After two years, I moved to a small town in southern Florida to teach art to kindergarten through fifth grade. Passionate about camp, the move to Judson in 2016 was a natural fit.
I love to exercise my creative juices, tell a story, and get people excited about what it is they’re reading or experiencing. I also love to ensure that everything I do, whether personally or professionally, is seen through from start to finish. I get pretty enthusiastic about making sure things are organized, and I believe in constantly challenging myself to embrace new learning experiences.
I couldn’t be more thrilled to be able to get to do what I love every single day. As Judson’s Director of Outreach and Mission Development, I get to satisfy my desire of telling stories by assisting with content creation, while sharing about this place I love, Camp Judson.
In my personal life, I’m passionate about spending time with my family and friends. I love to travel when time allows, running, playing ultimate Frisbee, watching movies, and baking yummy and delicious things. But perhaps the most important thing you should know about me, though, is that I surrendered my life to God as a nine year old and have made it my goal and passion to live and love more like Jesus Christ with each passing day. A big part of my walk with God has to do with my experiences here at Judson and it amazes me to know that God still has much planned for me here. Thanks for taking the time to get to know me!
